Time to Drill Some Blocks.... Part 2

Okay, expect my review of Mr. Driller Online sometime this weekend (as early as Friday night maybe). No pic for this blog post, even though I like my blog to be all colorful and stuff.

So far, Namco has screwed up big time with this one, which is sad since Mr. Driller is a great series for Japan making the importers happy, but usually gets the shaft here at the U.S. The same thing can be said for this entry because when you have the online on the title and that itself is flat out broken, then we have a big problem. The netcode is barely visible currently with laggy matches as worst as some SSBB matches I had, basically it is unplayable online. Other than that, the single player and the music are the only things saving it from the whole package being an abomination. At least, the single player is challenging and getting achievement points does require some skill, speed, and luck (other than the online ones since it is broken).

Bottom line, Ikaruga is XBLA's only saving grace at this point now with such crap out in the past month. More Mr. Driller on my review soon.

UPDATE - Video evidence of the horrible online from Xbox 360 Fanboy (This is true for all online games as I noticed today myself - host gets advantage, other players get screwed).

Tom Clancy takes it to the Sky.

This year so far, Ubisoft has brought out Rainbow Six Vegas 2, the first of many Tom Clancy games slated for this year. Add another to the other upcoming 2 (Splinter Cell Conviction, if that is ever coming out, and EndWar) with H.A.W.X. This is Ubi's so-called Ace Combat killer that was rumored for a bit, but this debut trailer seems promising and faithful to the Tom Clancy brand. Hopefully the quality can remain on the same level as Rainbow Six, GRAW, and Splinter Cell, but is too many different Tom Clancy games too much for Ubi to handle? Considering buying out the name, looks like they're ok as Ubi's cash cow besides Assassin's Creed. I'm not that hyped into it since it is not my type of game, but I think Clancy fans should give it a chance. IGN has first dibs on the trailer as well as a long MGS4 preview (this is the game Shane was teasing during the 1up Yours podcast for two weeks meaning how journalists have already beaten the game to give feedback to the developers.
